Mavis Huang, former director of intermediary clients, Asia, at Swiss investment firm Vontobel Asset Management, has joined Coller’s Hong Kong office.

The office is the fifth in the Asia-Pacific region for the secondaries pioneer.

Evergreen structures, sophisticated capital pacing models and the use of fund finance have all helped make private markets more accessible for an asset class that remains fundamentally illiquid.

The firm has launched separate private credit and private equity vehicles focusing on mid-market opportunities.

The expansion follows the firm’s first SICAV fund, which raised $130m from Canadian clients.
